Enhance reading skills. Boost confidence. Improve grades.


Make this summer a productive time for your child. Columbus Speech and Hearing Center is offering a dynamic reading enrichment program designed to strengthen phonics skills, reading fluency and comprehension.

  • Individual and small group instruction for struggling readers as well as students who want to move ahead. Great head start for young readers.

  • Twice weekly sessions for 8 weeks.

  • Parent observation and instruction is encouraged.

  • Average gains of 1+ grade level.

  • Online sessions available when you’re on vacation.

  • Led by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists trained in LindaMood Bell and Orton Gillingham multi-sensory reading instruction programs.

 

K-12 | June-July

  • 8 week program starting early June

  • 2 days per week, one hour each day. Sessions are usually on Mon-Wed or Tues-Thurs

  • Clinic hours: 8:00-5:00

  • Almost all individual sessions

 

Initial session is a "Reading Snapshot". Results determine focus of the enrichment sessions. The "Reading Snapshot" includes analysis of:

  • phonics

  • sight vocabulary

  • reading comprehension

  • fluency

  • phonological awareness
